Some food for thought...

WHY IS IT EASIER TO TALK ABOUT A BROKEN FOOT THAN ABOUT MENTAL WELL-BEING?

When someone breaks their foot, we immediately ask, “How are you doing?” and we check in on their health (and recovery) later.

But when it comes to mental well-being, it feels less obvious. What makes the difference?

With a broken foot, the situation is often clear: we know what’s going on, what recovery requires, and have less doubt about how to offer the right support. 🎯

But when it comes to mental health, questions arise: what can I say, how can I avoid getting too close, and what if I strike the wrong tone?

This uncertainty sometimes makes it difficult to show the same level of involvement and support.

It makes sense, then, that managers need tools to recognize signs in a timely manner and conduct these conversations in a safe and supportive way. 🤝

This creates an environment within your organization where employees feel supported—not only physically, but also mentally. 🙏 And that is just as important.
